Although aging is a natural process, it is very common for people to dread it. Bones and muscles become frail, memory and vision become less sharp, friends and loved ones pass away, and grief, anxiety, and depression can be common.
There are also wonderful parts of the aging process – such as watching children become successful, enjoying grandchildren, retiring after a lifetime of working, focusing on activities that are meaningful, and spending more quality time with family and friends.
Feeling depressed or anxious doesn’t have to be a part of getting older. Dr. Ronit Horwitz has been working with the geriatric population for over 20 years. Her passion is to help them see the positive side of aging, so they can truly enjoy their “Golden Years.”
